Several religious groups are fighting back with counter-advertisements on British buses
The London-based Atheist Bus Campaign launched 800 bus advertisements in early January that read, "There's probably no God, now stop worrying and enjoy your life.” Christians are now looking to reclaim the bus advertising in an effort to convince passengers/pedestrians that God does exist.
The Trinitarian Bible Society, whose campaign will also hand out free bibles, has placed 100 posters on the side of London buses that quotes Psalm 53, "The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God."
Leader of The Christian Party, Rev George Hargreaves is running 50 advertisements that read, "There definitely is a God. So join The Christian Party and enjoy your life."
Alexander Korobko, a Russian TV producer, has paid for 25 advertisements ("There is God. Don't Worry. Enjoy your life!") that will appear on London buses in March.
Korobko, who said that his campaign is being supported by the Russian Orthodox Church, said, "We are living in a difficult time, when crisis is being extensively promoted, and people need some life-asserting message.” Read original articles here and here.
