'God exists' ads to counter atheist message

To counter an atheist campaign currently running on city buses, religious groups are launching their own ads to spread a message that God does exist.

Sponsored by a group of Calgarians of varying faiths titled God Exists, the $13,000 bus ads are in response to the Freethought Association of Canada's campaign currently running on Calgary Transit that read, "There's probably no God. Now Stop worrying and enjoy your life."

Atthar Mahmood, vice-president of the Islamic Supreme Council of Canada said the God Exists ads will run on five buses and one C-Train for a month carrying the message "God cares for everyone ... even for those who say He doesn't exist!"

"We decided to do an ad because we are the believers of God," he said.

"We believe God is there and a hope is there--that (athiest) ad absolutely says there is no hope, there is no God."

"We firmly believe God exists and is the creator of all of us." Read the full article here.
